Before the departure of the first transportation of Czechoslovak soldiers from the UK to France, a banner and the Czechoslovak flag were handed to Captain Richard Pollak by Mrs Hana Benešová in Belgrave Square, London . The slogan on the banner – “Think of the Chorale” – had been used in František Halas’ poem “To Prague” and applied to the St Wenceslaus Chorale in the period of threat to Czechoslovakia in 1938.
