The Orlik armoured train was improvised at the end of May 1918 in Penza, where it had been captured shortly before by Czechoslovak Legionnaires. In May, it was damaged in a collision with a runaway Bolshevik locomotive. After repairs and reorganisation, it played a significant part in the fighting on the main line, especially in the capture of Samara. The crew consisted of 58 soldiers with 9 machine guns and 2 armoured vehicles. Later it was the cause of a dispute between the legionnaires and the Japanese command. Its fate after the departure of the Czechoslovak Legionnaires is unknown.
The train model is made at a 1:10 ratio. It is made of plastic and partly of metal; some parts of the train were made by casting, others by gluing. Dimensions of the whole model are: length 2480 mm, width 255 mm and height 220 mm. The author of this model was Miroslav Žálek.
