A military suitcase of a Czechoslovak legionary in Russia, Captain Vincenc Prochazka (1883–1937). Vincenc Prochazka was captured at the beginning of World War I, in September 1914. He joined the legions in 1918 and served in the 12th Rifle Regiment. He returned to his homeland in 1920, and later became the director of the Czechoslovak Legion Bank (Legiobanka for short). This was originally a financial and economic institution of the Czechoslovak Legionnaires founded in the autumn of 1919 in Russia, closed down in 1955.
The suitcase is wooden, partially plated with a decorated lid. The lid bears a wooden plate measuring 20×14.5 cm, which originally had a text with the name. The top wooden compartment has been preserved.
