The Czech Commission of Military History (CZE MH) was established simultaneously with the creation of the Czech Republic on January 1, 1993. The Czech Commission of Military History is a voluntary interest association representing military historians of the Czech Republic within national activities, including the organization of conferences, seminars, and other professional events. It also develops international cooperation, including the exchange of experiences, organization of joint scientific symposia, participation in international conferences, and publication of research results in collaboration with military historians and military historian organizations abroad. The founder of CZE MH is the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.
Members of CZE MH can be citizens of the Czech Republic, scientific, research, and professional workers who specialize in military history, military archiving, or military museum studies, based on a submitted application. Collective members of CZE MH can be interest associations focusing on military history or its promotion.
