The model represents a railway vehicle that was designed for the needs of the Polish Army in the mid-1920s. The design itself was based on the older T-14 freight engine, which was produced in Koprivnice from 1925 and whose production ended in 1968. The first six units were delivered to the Polish Army in November 1926. The Czechoslovak Army also acquired one vehicle when it was purchased by the Ministry of National Defence in 1927.
The Tatra T-18 armoured draisine was a light reconnaissance vehicle designed to escort armoured trains. It was equipped with a two-cylinder engine with an output of 8.82 kW and could reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. The fuel tank could hold 80 litres of fuel. The armament consisted of one Hotchkiss Model 14 machine gun and one Maxim Model 08 machine gun. The version for the Czechoslovak Amy included two Schwarzlose Model 24 machine guns. The machine guns were placed in a revolving turret. The crew counted 3 to 5 men. The draisine was 3675 mm long (the superstructure), 1750 mm wide and 2100 mm high. The total weight was approximately 3700 kg.
The model is made of wood. It bears the Czechoslovak camouflage pattern. The dimensions of the model are: length 340 mm, width 215 mm and height 210 mm.
