A curved, single-edged blade with a pipe back and a pen. It is marked with the manufacturer’s name “FRANZ THILLS NEFFE WIEN” on the outer side and decorated with an etched Austrian emblem between ornaments and the inner side is decorated with an etching of the imperial crown and an anchor. The wooden grip is covered with fish scales and wrapped with an iron wire. There is a brass gilded garniture. The back of the grip is decorated with a plastic relief of laurel, a trident and Neptune's face. The quillon is adorned with a plastic relief of an anchor, mermaids and the Austrian national emblem. The wooden scabbard is covered with black leather. There is a brass fitting with a solid loop and a ring for hanging. On the outer side, the upper fitting is decorated with a plastic relief of an anchor and the middle and the lower fittings are decorated with a floral ornament.
