A wooden model of a railway carriage known as “Teplushka”, in which Czechoslovak volunteers stayed in Russia during their Siberian anabasis.
“Teplushkas” had a long tradition in Russia, serving as accommodation carriages not only for the redeployment of troops, but also for prisoners sent to Siberia. Their furnishings were simple. Bunk beds to rest on, a bench with a table and a stove for heating. The Czechoslovak volunteers used other types of carriages, according to their purpose: bakery carriages, hospital carriages, repair and mail carriages, and so on.
The model is at a ratio of 1:10, made of wood and metal. The furnishings included one bench, one table, one stove and four bunk beds with fabric backing. The doors bear a Russian double-headed eagle. The model car is marked ЮЖН., number 533.787, T 18 OKT. 918.
