During World War II communication technology saw unprecedented development. The latest technology was particularly created in German engineering schools. Preparation for the blitzkrieg envisaged close coordination of all kinds of weapons and immediate use of information gathered by reconnaissance. In the years 1936-1940 a generation of German communication technology was created, bringing many revolutionary features. Its leaders include HF and VHF communication equipment of the Wehrmacht panzer division. The equipment placed in armored personnel carriers consisted of tank radio sets for senior command level Fu 8 (receiver Mw.E.c and transmitter 30 W.S.) and tank radio sets Fu 5 (receiver Ukw.E.e and transmitter 10 W.S.).
